i'm interested in getting omni's drag suspension but i dont know what 18k, 12k, 8k mean in regards to stiffness. someone help me out. i know 18k is prolly stiffer than 8k but what exactly does it mean?

 

Its an abbreviation of spring rate. The full spring rate reads something like 8kg/mm, meaning it takes 8 kilograms to compress the spring 1mm. Sometimes spring rate is shown in lbs/in as well, so you will sometimes see "400lb springs" or some such.

 

You kow i dont think i could have answered that question for some one with so many posts.
