I just put in a D16 swap in my eg hatch and now it doesn't want to rev past 2K. It sort of sounds like it hits rev limiter at 2K. Before the engine was idling like crap and the ECU was giving me a code 14 which was the IACV or whatever so I switched the throttle bodies along with the two sensors that were on it. Now its not giving me the code and its idling nice but it wont rev past 2K now. Any suggestions? thanks in advance.

 

might be the crank position sensor...

 

was the distributor put in right and is the cap and rotor good on it?

 

ok well i realized that the distributor was on wrong and I put it on right and it was running normally. drove it around for a couple minutes and it was running fine... then parked it in the driveway let it idle and when i went to rev it up it started doing the same thing as before wont rev past 2K. So i was checking the spark and was on the 4th cylinder and the car just shut off completely. Now it wont start up at all and i have no spark. Check all the fuses and reset the ECU. Distributor problem?? Sounds like its the distributor.... let me know what you think

 

got the map sensor and the tps plugs on right? when mine were backwards the car would not rev up barely at all just a thought good luck
