CRX 1.6 DOHC Airbox??
I have a 89' CRX 1.6 DOHC (non vtec)
I have a standard airbox with a k&N panel-filter right now.. and im considering an induction kit with stainless pipe etc..
A few friends of mine with other cars have seen better results with a panel filter and drilled airbox... and have reverted back to this from the usual induction kit setup.
Is it ok to do this on a crx?? im former vw man myself.. so i know nothing of honda's at the moment.. and i thought i should ask before taking a drill to my airbox.

yeh man chop the bottom off of it....i have seen great results doing so.....either that or get a k&n cone filter and put it on some stainless piping....either way is great its just one is a lot cheaper....good luck
nice one.. thanks for the reply. im gonna go with the cheaper option and cut the airbox.
a friend of mine over here found a 8bhp increase on the rolling road between a drilled airbox and a shop bought induction kit.... that was on a UK Escort RS Turbo
A friend also experienced a power gain when he got rid of his cone filter and went back to standard drilled airbox and panel filter.
