question about ignition stuff
i have a 94 accord with 166xxx miles on it now i got it about a yr ago and dont know if the plugs, wires cap and rotor have been changed at all. now my car wouldnt start the other day and i kept trying and trying and then a couple days later i went and started it and then brought it up to the auto building (auto tech major in college) and one of the teachers said i fouled my plugs trying to start it too much. so i put in a set of NGK v-power plugs and am probley gonna change the cap rotor and wire but my question is would it be benifical to go with Honda parts or go aftermarket? and what is the advantage of aftermarket wires from like MSD or Nology. i am in the process of boosting my car, should that have any affect on what i choose for cap wires and rotor? thanks RYan
i acually heard, aftermarket spark plug wires, dont do nothing and the honda regular wires u can get at autzone or whatever are acually a bit better.. i have seen a dyno prove it somewhere, i would have to look..

u r absolutely correct ,i read the test results myself , use regular honda dealer plug wires those are the best u can get , and they performed better than the other stuff ,, As for the car not starting on u , that problem might happen again , if and when it happens u need to diagnose if it is lack of fuel or spark ....1 more thing , if plugs were that badly fouled i am sure u got some fuel in the oil i would do an o/f asap
