b18c block number?
Hey guys, i am looking into buying a b18c block to bolt up to my b16 head and tranny... I found one for sale but the guy doesnt know whether it is a type r or gsr. the code under b18c is 2000068. Dono if an1 can identify this or not... n e help apreciated thanks.

just the block... the only reason he doesnt know what it is is he runs a shop and a piston was blown on it... so when the guy replaced the block the owner told him to keep the block.
GSR and ITR blocks are identical. The pistons, crank, and block brace are not. If you are buying a short block, the ITR will have domed pistons and the GSR will have flat pistons.

Agreed, I have a B18C in my car ( i have the GS-R motor) and that's the only way to tell with the shortblock.
