h22 eg radiator fan fitment

Default h22 eg radiator fan fitment

my mechanic says i need to buy a slim radiator.. and that the stock one wont fit. anyone have experience with this?

There is very little clearance. But some people seem to get away with the stock fan, but most go with the slim fans.

any suggestion on slim fans? I checked ebay for slim fans but no luck.. is there a h-t sponsor i could do business with for one?

I went with the 9" slim fan and it left a good amont of room with slave cylinder. I would recommend that you put the fan before the radiator to make extra clearance just in case you go turbo . Not saying you cant put the fan behind the rad , it's just to make more room.

wouldnt putting the fan BEFORE the radiator and putting the fan behind the rad be the same thing?!?!???!

i just installed my radiator in my swap today and it barely cleared the slave cylinder with a slim fan...so stock wouldnt work at all....for me atleast.

Putting the fan in front ( under core support)of the rad will give you another 1"-1 1/2" of x-tra clearance. Most slim fans are pusher/ puller type , so you can change the fan around to accomodate which side of the rad you want it on.

yeah your right, i put mine on the side of the stock one, should be fine, but the other side will work better imo
