You'll definitely enjoy it. The price of membership is well worth it. Check the FAQ on http://www.nsxprime.com to narrow your search.

Just make sure that you realize the real price of admission. These are expensive cars to buy, maintain, and race. The cost of admission is really just the beginning.

Hell, the horn buttons alone are $40 each!

So make sure you take into account the $5000 you'll spend in the first year buying fancy go-fast parts and horn buttons!

They are nice cars though, they handle very nicely on the track, even with cheap Nitto tires (so I've heard).

Enjoy and good luck to you!

In comparision to a Civic yes they are a lot to race and maintain. In comparision to other exotics, far far less. Especially considering it's reliability.

And yes those damn horn buttons are a lot but more like $30 bones a piece. Damn horn buttons. Damn damn horn buttons.

For all the people that like to drop the clutch in there cars, a clutch will cost you $2400.00. So get it out of your system before you by a NSX, its not a drag car.

How do you guys wear out your horn buttons? I've never heard of that before.

BTW, there's nothing that says you must mod your NSX. It's damn good (and damn fast) right from the factory. You'll need to spend money on tires, though.

Mine broke off for some reason. The previous owner probably used it a lot when forced behind slower traffic. It's cheap plastic piece.

Or, maybe some of the owners who break them have RM NOS....:D

Sometimes one of the hooks that hold the damn thing in place break off. Then when you're on the track it pops off in your face and you've got another thing on your mind besides the apex you're trying to negotiate. Mine were broke when I bought it - couldn't tell.

I say, "damn horn buttons," b/c the local Acura dealer wanted $78 total for them. Thought about just getting a Momo wheel but decided I wanted the airbag.

Only paid $1500 for my clutch. Dali (Centerforce) with a 7.8lb flywheel.

That $1500 didn't include installation. A lot more expensive then a $300 integra clutch.

Right, it didn't include installation. That was another $400.

And a lot cheaper than a 348 or 355 clutch.

what? they're not expensive to maintain at all. remember its still a honda even though it might be int the 'exotic' category. its as reliable as a civic, just do the recommended services and it run fine. MAYBE the individual parts will be more expensive since the car is so rare BUT in terms of the car breaking down(like a ferrari), it won't happen unless you COMPLETELY dog the **** out of it. NSX is probably the most drivable daily commuter EXOTIC out there.
