Im at about 11:1 right but want to raise it some without worrying about detonating. Its a b16 with P30s and one layer gasket. And if I can raise it, should i mill the head? new pistons?

We routinely run 12.5-12.8:1 compression here BUT we have 93 octane gas.

The cars that did well with higher compression all had bigger cams with more duration and more overlap, often accentuated by cam gear settings. Cams that didn't work well - Peak Pro Series (Toda C copy? - 81.25mm LS/Vtec w/ CTR slugs + B16 head) Cams that did work well - Skunk2 Pro1 (85mm dart/ 12.5:1 CP / ported B16 head) Buddy club 4 (84.5mm B20 / CP 12.5:1 / endyn ported head) Blox B (aka Sk2St2 / 81.5mm B18C5 / 12.5:1 CPs / portflow B16 head)

Hope that helps.
