K, i painted my SI rims today. I used 350grit wetsand, then i put 2 coats of primer, and 4 coats of base. Looks great so far....then i let them dry, put a clear coat on. now it like made bubbles around the edges, like down to the primer, only after i put the clear on WTF is this ****? anyone?

 

it might be drips... due to overspray.. u should let the base coat dry before you apply clearcoat.

 

I just bought some graphite wheel paint because I plan on painting my GS-R wheels soon. On the can it says wait at least 10 minutes between coats, but not more than 2 hours. It says if you wait more than 2 hours before applying clearcoat, that it may bubble or orange peel just like you said. Also make sure you do all this when the temp is above ~55 degrees and the humidity is fairly low.

what kind of paint did you use? would high temp paint be a good idea?
