Default Cooling fans with a turbo??

OK so iam getting a full race kit soon. i have to get a half size radiator and already know what kind i want. The question is what do i do with my fans? Im gonna keep A/C to. i want to upgrade the fans, so do i just get a single fan for the radiator? Or do i get dual? And the dual is for the radiator and the A/c right??
i know i need slim fans, so maybe FAL or Flexlite. And also whats better Push or Pull for turbo and space? thanks in Advance!

Try asking in the forced induction forum too.

Why did you decide on a half size? Full size won't fit? In any case, if you want to keep A/C, you can still stay with one fan. Most aftermarket fans (especially thin fans) pull/push much more CFM than both stock ones put together.

FAL, from what I have seen, is damn expensive. More expensive than the damn radiator in some cases. I haven't personally heard of Flexite, but maybe you should also look into SPAL. I'm not sure if they have a specific site, but they come included with C&R radiators. You can try them too, if you can't find specific SPAL contact info.

Push or pull, is basically the same thing. One is no better than the other in my experience. It all depends on how much space you have.

EDIT: Will post a picture of my SPAL on my C&R. I like whoring out that pic. I paid like freakin almost $600 for that radiator.

C&R claims 1000CFM with that SPAL fan.

Here's the front for my *****-out pic.

With the manifolds from Full-race you have to have a half size radiator. So the fan with the A/C is a fan by itself and doesn't need to be touched? So ill i have to do is get a single fan unit with a connection for the A/C and stuff? The fans i found from FAL was like 140-160 for the single fan. Thanks for the quick response

nice looking radiator!

dude, 600 for a radiator is way too much, especially for the crappy black C&R logo painted on the front.

i think imma get a KOYO radiator. but then i have to buy a fan, and the fal fans are 280 bucks, which would make it the same price as yours. about 580.

wtf is push / pull?

I would say that a "Push" fan would be better because it is easier to push air than to pull. Also u would have more room for your manifold because the fan would go infront of the radiator and not on the back.

Ahh, so half-size it is then. If you get a single fan, which I'm sure you will have to do now, especially since you will be running a half-size, then both the regular fan AND A/C fan will be together. It's one fan. When I hooked mine up, I just spliced the wires into the harness clip from the stock unit.

I don't know where I heard it from, but years ago when I got my C&R/fan combo, I thought I heard someone say the SPAL fan is like $100. Don't quote me on it though. Sounded like a supercharger when it turned on.

C&R is one of the best radiators out there. Plus, unfortunately, when I got mine, I didn't know that one week later there would be a groupbuy on it for $375. Oh well, I didn't pay for it, it was a present.

There should be enough room. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you just reverse the polarity of the wiring to change the direction? Determine how much space you have and then just go from there.

For your halfsize radiator, set it up as a puller if possible (12" fan).

Then for your AC/Condenser, set it up as a pusher (12" or a 10" will do).

2 fans, 2 setups. Or you you can set both up as a pusher and it should give you plenty of room to work with.
