does body kit weight alot more than stock kit
i'm planning to get the VIS extreme kit for my lude . i don't know if it's going to weight more then the stock kit . if yes will it make my car more heavy and hurt the performence
I would bet that it is heavier, but either way you will be increasing your drag coefficient(aka hurting performance).
Wings West makes the RS kit if you're interested.

That's an interesting question... If I had to guess, I would say that the aftermarket kits are typically lighter than the stock eruethane (sp?) parts- based only on my impression that most aftermarket kits are made of eggshell thin fiberglass. But I completely agree that most kits will give your car a higher coeficient of drag.
If there is a weight difference, I would be surprised if the difference is very significant...
Did anyone ever actually weigh both?

I have a Buddy Club kit sitting in my garage right now, fiberglass of course, and it is not heavy by any means. I honestly think the stock bumpers and sides would only be a couple pounds lighter, given that after market kits usually have bumpers twice the size of stock (meaning a little more mass). I wouldn't worry bout it, it won't slow your car down as much as people say it will-----unless it has a design that catches a lot of resistance or something......even that's pushin it.
