OK! So I want to race in H1..............
The Crx, Civic, and DelSol platforms take alot of "hacking" to get the motor in. the Teg i'm not so sure about. BUT i know the Accord as room for the motor.
I would vote integra... you dont want to "hack" to much... and you dont want the shortest wheel base... its a good comprimise. well other than building the tank #2

I really wanted to build an EG H22... but you have to really take your time with the front end... when you modify the front cross member i wouldnt just hit it with a hammer... i'd cut and patch it the right way. also ... i'd look into a nice custom header... and work on a good oil pan.

GOTO Racing/Calculated Risk built a car for H1/USTCC that was an H22 powered 2nd gen teg. It looked like a great setup and the car was fast (got to see it and do lead/follow when they came to Phx for USTCC). If I were going to stuff an H22 in something, I would definitely consider a DA after seeing that car in action.

ok... Corey can you get the Accord close to minimum weight? I know your lude needs some more work in that area.
2 door coupe or 4 door?

I have the motor, and no one wants to buy it. v6 brakes will bolt right up. must resist....

Dave Davis also has a comptech H22A in a 2nd gen Integra. I think it makes something like 260 at the crank, and weighs 1970 lbs.
I think the 94-01 Integra 2 door is the best chassis considering suspension, aero, size, weight, and parts availability.
But the 96-00 Civic 4 door could be fun with it's stiff chassis, long wheel base, and beefy suspension. Plus it has the 4 door touring car cool factor. If you're into that.

I can get the accord within 50lbs of min weight, but it will cost 1200$ in materials.. (brake kit/CF hood/maybe CF trunk next year/lexan)

Tom Lepper has run a few races with his Accord out here on the left coast. He feels that that chassis way to heavy for the current class weights. He's more competitive in USTCC than he is in H1.

It's really not that big a deal. I wouldn't do it on a street car with AC & PS, but for a race car, it's a pretty simple swap. HASport did the swap in a CRX in Sport Compact Car magazine earlier this year. I drove it for a few days. VERY fun. I might go with an DA/DC chassis if I were starting it from scratch, but I'm a long wheelbase guy. You might also want to look at the class weight difference for the F22 single cam version of that same motor if you don't already have the H...

The H motor with its dual cam head is probably only 20lbs heavier, at the most... Bottom ends are identical..
