Default Noob with old Accord Q's

So I picked up an 88 accord DX for 400 bones to get me to work instead of driving my 5.9 grand cherokee gas guzzler and I have a few questions that I haven't figured out yet. First, the car did not idle at all when I bought it, it would stay running at a stoplight/parked only with feathering the pedal. I rebuilt the carb and it runs well now except for a few small things that I hope are not that big of a deal. First problem: after car has warmed up and been turned off for 5 minutes or so when the car is turned back on it seems like the engine is flooded, have to wrap up a few RPMs while driving to get the sputtering to stop, and thats not touching the gas pedal when starting. (accellerator pump, some sort of float adjustment?) Second problem is when I'm driving at higher speeds (usually above 50 to about 80) the transmission seems to sllip out of gear when I let off of the gas and the RPMs go UP a bit, then when I step on the gas to accellerate again the rpms drop and it feels like it catches the gear (auto trannie btw). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
J.C.

Not to sure about how to go about fixing the problems But i would just Join 3geez and someone there should be able to help. You may also want to search around the carb Tech section in the technical section on the forum.
