Default Need Help with Window Tracking

Honda forum newb asking for technical assistance here.

I purchased a 1993 Honda Accord for my daughter (Love the Honda's BTW, we have a 2005 Pilot and owned an 89 Accord for 12 years that had over 225,000 miles with original clutch before being totalled by eldest daughter). The car is in beutiful shape and have only had to do some minimal maintenance. I noticed over the weekend that the drivers side door window is slightly askew (replaced the factory speakers with aftermarket). The window when in the full-up position, has a tiny area in the corner that is still open. Evidently I need to adjust the tracking a bit.

Can someone direct me to a previous post or provide some insight on how to adjust? Thanks for any and all help.

I believe when you get the interior door panel off, you will find the interior sheet metal slotted for one of the regulator mounting bolts (#25). It should give you some adjustment to tip the window one way or the other.
While you're in there , check that the regulator (#11 L/F) isn't worn.

Thanks P.

That makes sense. I'm hoping that the mounting bolt has just slipped a little over time.

my 97 accord does the exactly same thing with the window beeing opened at the corner, to where i have to put my hand on the window to make it stay on track.. I have tried adjusting the tracks and tight the bolts as tight as i can in anyway i can to make it better, but it still doesnt work! i heard it can be the weather stripping. i know the pervious owner had to do something b.c it is kinda bunched up where the side mirror is.. any suggetsion?

i dont mean to jack, but whats the point in making a whole new thread, when a guy has the same problem as me

My problem ended up not being the tracking at all. The window was getting restricted by the weather stripping on one side. The binding would then allow the window to rotate causing the small opening. Lubing the stripping cured the problem (for now at least).
