Default damnit my dizzy wont fit!!!

or am i mounting it wrong

here's some pics of my d15b and the dizzy i got off an si..


also there are some pics of the engine harness i picked up, doesn't look like anything plugs into the ecu....do i need anything more than this in terms of harnesses or will my dual carby have it already?

please help guys

that harness you have doesnt plug into the ecu...that runs on the engine...it plugs into the engine bay harness.
BTW what is you distributor doing to not let it bolt up...the hole wont line up or it doesnt sit flush? if it doesnt sit flush then id say try 180ing the rotor and see if that works, i had the same problem, i found out that they dizzys only go in one way.

set the car at tdc take the cap off point it at number 1 and be done with it simple as that.

1 3 4 2 firing order

how do you guys mean 'take the cap off and point it at number 1'

does your old distributor look like the new one.

to line up cyl 1 firing order

you take the cap off should be 3 screws to remove the distributor cap
inside you will see a rotor it points to each cyl that it fires on a given rotation

i've taken off the cap but i dont see much, it's covered by another piece of plastic

inside the cap you will see the rotor its connected to the distributor shaft.

it spins around and if you point it to cyl 1 on the distributor cap same as cyl 1 wire that runs to spark plug

ok so rotate that until it points to spark plug cable position 1, then install it?

ok to clarify

set tdc
rotate the rotor to point to number 1..
install dizzy..

how about mounting holes not lining up?

the moutning holes will line up if that is the correct distributor for your car if not you got something else going on

Dont waste your time.. I've tried using a dx dizzy onto a si dizzy and the mounting holes dont line up. you will have to get a dx dizzy in order to fit your dx motor.
