Like it says, is anyone spraying a large (150/200hp) nitrous oxide shot in a Honda B-series. I want to know what is neccesary in a build to do this. I would like a detaild list of yours or someone you know's set up, from engine management to motor internals.
For anything like that the set up is not far off from someone who would build a turbo block. Whatever crank you go with do the normal polish journals, zero balance, etc. Then pick the compression that you are shooting for, and take into account what head you will use. There is a 2cc difference between the B16 head and the GSR head on the same B18C1 bottom end. Rods are a must as well. I would deffenately go with nothing smaller then the 3/8 bolts. Head work if you want to, but not mandatory. You can run the HONDATA, Neptune, Uber, Crome, etc. I like to use the MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition box. There is an output control wire on it, that once it senses the 12 volts form the nitrous kit applied to it, you can pull your timing out that way. The rest of the time (daily driving for instance) it is just normal timing. Plugs are agian, pretty much what most turbo guys run. Then there is the TUNE! Don't just start off with the 150shot on the dyno. Start at like 50-75 and work your way up form there. You will most likely play with the fuel pressure during the tuning of the nitrous system.
Good luck,
Jason

Just do a basic build.....sleeves, pistons, rods. With nitrous only, you can run upwards of 14-1 compression on race fuel. The big deal with running lots of nitrous in these small motors is to pull a lot of timing. I ran a 2 stage, 250hp shot on my turboed 1.6 D16Z6 and was only running 7-9 degrees of total timing on 28 psi boost. Like the SFWD 1934 said, start small and work your way up.

we would use 10lb bottles..we would get 4 good 1/8 mile passes.but when you spray at 1300 psi bottle pressure....things happen very quickly.

ouch. that's pretty expensive. i was thinking about doin a low budget nitrous project with a friend but i think i just changed my mind. so doing some simple math that's 2 runs on a 10 lb bottle. so if i have a 2day event here at my local track of about 10 runs that'll cost me about $175
