im looking for a 96-98 ex engine harness for my swap, but i cant seem to find one.......i found an 96-98 HX engine harness tho...will that work? im not sure if HX civics are vtec ? is it the same harness as the ex ?

The HX harness is already wired for VTEC but, No it is not the same as the EX. Here are some differences

1) HX wire harness will have a plug for the EGR

2) HX wire hanress is wired for a 5wire oxygen sensor while EX other harnesses are wired for 4wire oxygen sensor (primary)

Those are just differences. Obviously if you dont have EGR, then you wont use that plug. And you can re-wire the harness to be 4wire primary oxygen sensor

 

whats the EGR? so other then that it is the same? so i can use it for my b series swappp?
