Not familiar with newer hondas at all..... AND I searched. DO all the toda parts for the RSX Type S work with the the stock EP3 motor?

 

Anything internal with the motor (cams, etc) will not work without a head swap. The RSX-S's K20A2 and EP's K20A3 have completely different cam setups. I don't know for sure about the pistons and whatnot, but I'll guess that they'll fit.

Type-S header & cat components will fit (I've got OEM -S parts on my EP); just need to get the mounting bracket for the Type-S header. But, they'll be longer & bigger around, so you'd need to either modify the US-spec exhaust or get a JDM-spec catback designed for the Civic Type-R (Fujitsubo RM-01A in my case).

But, yeah... the Toda cams work in the K20A2's head. If you put an A2 head on an A3 block, they should work.

(now you got me thinking a bit more about my own motor plans... hmm...)

 

Do you have to sleeve the block so use forged pistons then? And who makes cams for the A3?

 

Don't know about sleeving the block; I'd assume that anything involving the pistons would be the same as for the A2.

The only cams I've ever heard of for the A3 are Raz's cams, which H-T member chunky helped develop using his EP3. They give about 30-40 whp.
