Anybody have any pics of a CRX in torino red?
Torino Red Pearl was (in the US at least) a 1990 & '91 color, ONLY available on the CRX DX (or Std as Honda sometimes refer to it). Most people call it "maroon" or "burgundy"; Honda called it Torino Red. Here's mine:

She's a '91 CRX DX 5-speed. She's currently running a D16A6 (Si) engine out of my wife's former '89 Civic Si. The engine is mated to a hybrid transmission (ZC 1-4 gears, HF 5th, Si final drive/differential), and the car rides on 15x6" Integra LS "mesh" wheels shod with Dunlop SP5000 tires (195-50/15).

If it's Torino Red, and it's stock paint, it's Pearl. Honda started giving us pearl colors in 1990 in the US: Torino Red Pearl and Celestial Blue Pearl, both available only on the DX model. In '91 they brought us Tahitian Green Pearl, but only as an Si color.
None of these "pearl" colors are what you think of when you think of pearl-coat paintjobs. They're not mad-pimpin' pearl... more like very subtle. You know, like Honda likes to do.

That's my car, I love the torino red pearl, I'd never change it, needs a new paint job, but I'd paint it back stock.

If you're in the US, you're going to have to do some repainting to get those colors on those year cars. For a Torino Red CRX, look for a '90 or '91 CRX DX; that's the only model and years it was available as a CRX color in the US. For Tahitian Green, look for a '91 CRX Si OR a '91 Civic hatchback (I've seen it on the Civic DX as well as the Si model). Your Celestial Blue CRX will be a '90 or '91 DX also.
But I like the way you think. I'm hoping to end up with one each of the "odd-color" CRXs: Torino Red (got it), Barbados Yellow (got it), Celestial Blue, and Tahitian Green CRXs. But a TG Civic wouldn't suck, either. The yellow isn't a pearl paint, but it's still among my favorite CRX colors.

Thanks a bunch. Sadly, the clearcoat has started peeling on the very back edge of the rear hatch. That just started 3 weeks ago, despite my keeping the car washed and waxed regularly.
I'll have to get that part clearcoated again, at least, but it'll have to wait 'til I get a job again.
The wheels are the '97-'98 Integra "Mesh" wheels, 15x6". They usually sell on eBay and classifieds for $300-$400 a set. I love 'em. They also came in a 14x5.5" size as an optional wheel for the Civic, but those are rarer than hen's teeth. Frankly, I'd rather have the 15s any day...

It's actually, just a 96 accord lip. I took a chunk out of the middle for it to fit, and then just bolted it on. Looks/fits great...
