I have a 91 Honda Accord with a broken driver's door latch - broken in the closed position of couse. I managed to get the interior door panel part way off with the door closed to gain access. I can pull on the interior door release linkage as well as the external door handle linkage, but nothing is giving. I can't remove the door latch until I can get the door open. Any suggestions on how to open the door?

....I don't know how you would be able to do it... because I think some of the screws for that door panel (91, 92, 93) are hidden, and can only be reached when door is open.....

is there any way you could remove the top screws.... and .... of course that would end up in a certain... hard work... but... trying to reach the wire the opens and closes the door... by removing only the top screws of the door panel...

 

Your kinda screwed, but with the door panel mostly off your halfway there. You have to drill a hole through the door lock from inside the door to get it to release. Do a quick archive search to pull up where exactly you need to put the hole. Don't drill until you have sourced a new lock, the door won't latch shut after you drill it.
