just curious bro but why do u take the ecu inside with u every night? and yeah ur ecu is fked.. it might have happened from all the times unplugging it and putting back in.. u may have caused debris to enter inside the prongs and short it out.. could be a number of things.. it is electronic and electronics arent guaranteed for life.. buy another one.. put it in and see what it does.. if it fries again then **** u have a wiring problem if not then leave it alone!
The only way I would unplug a sensitive ECU is by first taking off the negative battery cable. When you unplug/plug it in, there could be a momentary voltage spike which can damage sensitive electronics. Its a pretty rare occurance, but it does happen.
yesi take it out since a p28 has been stolen from me already.. dont wanna lose anotherone but yea now i remember wat happened a friend mines had the same problem and yesturday one of my boys brother went to go turn the car on and used my ecu and i guess on his bubble the plugs are messed up kus he had a jdm b16 put in by a shop and the ecu from his car was already burnt like mines is.. we sold that ecu to sumone it works fine... but now i kno how mines got messed i was jus worried about my wiring or anythin... ill jus have to get a new ecu...
