civic type R pistons

Default civic type R pistons

hi my name is kyle and i have a 95 honda civic with a gs-r engine in it and it wont pass smoge it has the civic type r racing pistons in it that has 10.5:1 compression. the thing i dont know what to do to the car to make it pass smoge. can someone help me figure it out and maybe tell a place where i can get parts to fix it?

if you had ctr pistons your comp would be 12.9 to 1, why dont you list your entire setup? normally a good tune up, a new oem cat, and a seafoaming of the engine will get you through emissions if its just a sniffer test

it has the B18c engine in it and ctr pistons in it thats all pritty much.

Maybe a new CAT and tune-up would do the job.

i heard that if you have a JDM motor.. you'll not pass the visual inspection... but that's what i heard, somebody who knows please confirm.
