I will switch from my CAI to a SRI. Try to keep the muds if possible. I asked a tech
at work and he said it shouldnt hurt anything.

You should keep them because they keep road crap from getting behind your fenders and rusting them out, yadda yadda yadda, stuff like that. I know there a pain mine are held in with about ohhhhh 20 screws a piece every few inches to keep them in place and out of the way of my ******* wheel cause there all retarded ever since my paint job.

 

do you like small rocks between your front fender and your door?, everytime you open your door you here dirt and rocks grinding the paint from your door jamb? my bro did'nt like it to much so we went to the junk-yard and got some new ones.

I just cut off the middle and left the front and rear sections.

 

keep them unless you like to roll super tucked....lol. dirt and crap gets into the engine bay though.

 

I had mine off and everything gets nasty dirty. I would definately not take them off again unless you want to get lots of suspension travel into the fenders...but at that point, the car usually wouldn't be for driving everywhere. I had to open my doors and hose out the junk every week during the dirty seasons in AK

 

i took mine off and in the period of 2 months my engine bay and door jams were dirty as hell.

 

havent had mine in for 3 years, makes **** dirty and rocks do get in weird places by oh well
