FAL fan worth it? Or will OEM fans work with Fluidyne and Koyo racing radiator?
Anyone?
I need a new radiator badly, will getting a fluidyne or koyo all aluminum radiator ruin my turbo set up?
got a drag kit, and dont know if the new radiator will get in the way.
FAL slim fans are freaking 300!
thanks!

Run a civic radiator. The stock a/c fan will not fit w/the fluidyne. You can cut the shroud on the other fan to make it fit.
FIRST OFF:
get the nice radiator, especially if you live in the heat. more power = more heat, especially with a hot turbo under the hood.
SECOND:
don't bother with the specially-made twin fans. a nice 14" or 16" fan from SPAL or FAL or whatever will work very well and move almost as much air for less than half the price. a kit to make it come on with a/c and with an adjustable temperature switch is a nice $40 option. still only $175ish for perfect fan setup. i'm using one now. actually it's not even wired up b/c at 190whp, my Koyo race radiator ($290 shipped on sale) doesn't need it at all, even in FL's heat and in traffic with a turbo.

I considered getting a FAL fan for my koyo integra radiator too, but I figured I'd get one at autozone for $40 or something rather paying $300+ fal fans

Go to http://www.radiatorexpress.com and get their 1-row all aluminum radiator. It's 1/4" thicker than stock. Then go get the FAL dual fan setup or whatever fan setup you want.
You don't have to go without one of the fans and you have an aluminum racing radiator. Sure it doesn't hold as much fluid as a 2-row. But honestly, are you going to NEED the 2-row?
