Default A SPEC Rear Subframe Reinforcement -- EG

http://passwordjdm.com/product...tails

Does anyone have any direct experience with this? I am building an EG chassis for road course work and to be driven on the street maybe 2,000 miles per year. I was looking at doing this subframe reinforcement piece with a JDM ITR 23mm rear sway bar. My other thought was to forget that and just go with the Comptech sway/tie bar combo. Car will have ITR suspension pieces and 5 lug brakes. Most likely going with Koni/GC setup spring rates undetermined at this point but won't go above 600.

Money aside which would be more beneficial for track purposes? Thanks for any input

Mike

I may be bit bias because ASR is one of my sponsors, but I love the ASR kit. I have one on my EK street/track car, and it's great. There are quite a few racers here that have the brace that can tell you the same thing. The guy that runs ASR is really helpful and gives meaning to the words "customer service".
If you do a search, there is quite a bit of information floating around the forums already.
Comparing the ASR and the Comptech kit, there is not much between them. There has been a long running debate of which is better, and while we all have our own conclusions (Cough, ASR, Cough), they will both do the job you want.
The ASR kit is cheaper, so you could save a bit of money. If you need anymore info, check out the link in my sig or PM me!

Jeremy,

Will that unit bolt right on to an EJ chassis (92-95 EX Coupe), as well?

I'm looking to add a rear sway bar in the off season, and would like to have some reinforcement.

Damn it, I didn't search well enough on this one guys. My bad. Let's have a discussion nonetheless here on people who have tried both setups on the same chassis.

I have driven cars with each of the kits on EK Si's. There was no real difference in feel between either kit. Both are well made, and both will do the job. If I am not mistaken, 1 is cheaper so that may help you decide. Plus, you wont find better customer service than ASR!

Just for clarity's sake, even on a EJ Coupe that does not have a stock rear anti-sway bar?

I'd have to switch to Si hatchback lower control arms for the endlink attachments, wouldn't I?

If you don't have the holes already, yeah. Or you could drill them yourself! That would be cheaper!

ive been talking to charleston about an ef application, but i havent been able to get ahold of him lately to see where it is in development. thought you might have an answer since it would apply directly to you and the crx.

He is in the process of designing one. I think we will be testing it on my car once it is complete!
