D16 Project!! Post your setups
So as some of you know I have an LS boost project underway. It will be at 350whp. The project has been placed on hold until Feb but so for now my crx will pimp a single cam.
Heres the setup:
1991 D16a6
6k on a rebuild
JG 301x cam
3 angle valve job
port matched intake and exhaust ports
JG cam gear advanced 3 degrees
ACT clutch on 91 si tranny.

Test Pipe
Greddy SP2 Exhaust
I sold the LSvtec that was in this to fund the turbo project so all you people thatll chime in saying sohc sucks and dohc is better, shut it, ive had both. I just wanted more of a challenge and this single cam fits the bill. I wanna see how quick I can get it, the motor swap will go on sale in feb.

Currently stock d15b1, 4spd STD... stock with a z6 manifold and straight pipe (2 inch) to a 2 1/2 in/out muff. body work in progress also...
my plans for before xmas... z6 mini-me, dpfi to mpfi, z6 or y8 intake mani, then turbo at stock 7psi.
while i gather and build a b18a for boost, before next april (my b-day pres to myself).
I also 4-C suspension work and a possible rear disc conversion (it would be nice for my rears to lock when i jam the E-Brake)..... maybe before x-mas also... considered prep work for the b18

D16z6: Zex 59100 cam, I/h/E, bored throttle body. Si transmission.
Possible future mods: Y8 intake manifold, hf 5th gear, maybe for my senior design project Ill go turbo, not sure yet.

Where can I get a good cam for boost for my D15. I have looked and I cant seem to find one. You guys have some nice setups. Let me know if anyone wants to sell me their cam and/or where I can get one.

all you guys got some good setups. nice to see single cam peeps. I put on my CAI on the d16 and felt a difference in performance. I hope to dyno the setup soon and see what it makes. the cam makes it feel like vtec .lol. the bottom end is not as good as a stock cam but it keeps building power to 7500rpms where I shift at. any other guys on here used the JG 301x cam?
