tranny slips out of 5th and i need to go on a road trip please help
I have a 98 civic with an ls motor and tranny (b18b1). Everything works perfect i bought the car done but when im driving down the free way it pops out of gear from the slightest bumps. Please help !!! i have to go on a road trip next week and i dont think i can make it in 4th the whole way

Sounds like your 5th synchronizer gears are going bad, or are bad already. Does it seem close to coming out of any other gears? If so, your linkage could just be bent/misaligned. If not, then I'm afraid it is your synchros.
Bump for you. Try posting this in the Integra forum since you have a B18B. That forum moves faster and gets more responses than this Tech one.
