Default Need Help with 98+ CD player.

well, when i got my car back from the shop, my stock 98 cd player was flashing "code". and i thought i remembered the code and started punching in numbers.

i did it three time and now it wond let me enter the code anymore. it now displays "Err-3"

i consulted my 96 car manual and it said that if you fail the code 3 time, you should leave it on for one hour and try again. my car originally came with a cassette player.

well i did that and it is still displaying Err-3. im assuming that for 98+ theres a different method to let me enter the code again?

can anyone with a 98 car manual look it up and tell me? thanks in advance.

You're putting in the wrong security code, I believe if you just turn the radio on and off it'd let you re-enter the code, or unplug the harness in the back...either way if you don't have hte code call acura.

well unpluging the battery is easy as poping yoru hood going to the bat and unpluging the neg terminal for like 5 seconds, its not that hard. Aside from that i dont think theres any other way. also you can just go to acura to try and get code, although my acura asked for my actual headunit so they could check. goodluck.

Normally if you push the **** to turn off the unit and push it again to turn on, you should be able to re-enter the code. You don't have to re-enter the code unless you unplug your battery, or unplug the harness on the back of the head-unitt
