Default skunk2 stage 2 cam gear settings

(already searched)
on the dyno, base run, settings 0,0. normal looking graph, little vtec dip at 6k rpm.
changed cams to -2 exhaust, +4 intake. vtec kicked in, huge increase in power 20hp to the wheels. but the result was it idled like **** and even died sometimes.
my head is milled and 11.9-12:1 compression.

just wondering what other peoples settings are and how there idle is? thanks.

The more overlap (time that both the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time) that you dial in on cam timing, the worse a motor will idle. And +4 on the intake cam for Skunk Stage 2's sounds about right.

Try giving the exhaust side some advance. It will help with the idle issue.

i know more people have these cams... share your settings.

i set the intake cam back to 0, for now, because of the idle and left the exhaust at -2 and still making like 5whp over the whole powerband than 0,0. i will be going back to tune it again because it was running lean, so i got some bigger injectors, i will also be putting on a skunk2 pro series intake manifold and a 68mm throttle body and take it back for the final tune. 192 is awseome, im hoping for 200whp on a dyno jet. (i hear dyno jet puts out lower numbers)

I want to know the same thing. I've looked (not very hard) for the past two years to try and figure this out , but before I go and break this motor. I know a lot about getting a motor to make power, but I haven't had a chance to degree in the cams to see where the center line is or how the cams are setup from skunk.

Also if all the cams are builted to the specs on the sheet and @ 0 degrees or stock gear settings. Because that would make a difference with valve interferance, I'm sure thats why Skunk says not to exceed those specs, but I don't know.

I'm like everyone else that just would like everyones input.
