Default wierd feeling when accelerating

I have a 90 civic si, when I punch it or just accelerate, or even start off a little hasty it feels as if the whole motor is about to rip out of the chasis and speed away (slowly )

I have the stock a6 in it with no mods. Could this be the struts? some kind of bushings? tie rods? ball joints? I havent seen the front wheels from the outside but on my old 89 accord lxi i let a friend drive it so i could watch the front wheels and see if they move. it seemed as if there was 1-3 inches of play and it looked like the wheel actually moved forward and back when the car would steadily accelerate up to 15 mph. in a straight line, barely any bumps (on street)

is this just me or has anyone else heard of something like this?

The motor moves alot I take it?

Check yor Front Engine mount/Torque Something or other.
It holds the engine while it torques.
If that's bad, it'll FLY backwards when you hit the gas...

I had the same thing, the rubber on the front mount was hanging by 2mm. I did this and it made a big difference. Mine was also affecting the linkage, I was having trouble finding the gears. Everything is better now, but the car vibrates a lot more at idle, which is expected with polyurethane mounts.
