So far this year I have gotten two flats on my slicks at the track. First time was a little nail went through the slick and into my tube. Bought a new tube, then run two events and second event get another flat. This time it was a nice big staple in the slick then into the tube.

Just posting to see if this happens to a lot of people or if I am just having some bad luck. Also is there anyway to avoid this?
I notice when I walk through the pits I usually see nails and crap, and I pick them up. Maybe if the lots were cleaned better this would not happen as much. Just bored at work and venting b/c I had to spend another 50 bucks on a dam tube.

 

sucks that you had to replace stuff...

i usually tends to do my part to keep racing fun too by picking up sharp meatal objects on the ground at the pit.

 

only had it happen to me once when my lower intercooler pipe fell off
I ran over it..destroyed the slick, my new Bogart, and the flex pipe in my exhaust

 

Home depot couplers suck

 

I had my slick go flat during the take off and the car felt hella weird and pulling to one side. It came of the bead I guess during the burn out no harm just new slick needed.

 

Chad you should just drag radials come visit my side, your car probably pick up et and spd hehehe

IM not going to make it, got a bunch of stuff to do to car, axles should come in today, so steppin up to stg 3s tired of brakin them, THANKS AGAIN chad for the help with axle, to bad i did not get to race finals on sat
