hey guys! im in the middle of a race season down here(New Zealand)
and i have meeting on this saturday and i need to put together a motor that wil get me down the track at least 5-6 times

now i have a built motor on the way but it wont be ready for the next meeting and anyways to the point
I have an A A A A block with two good pistons and i have a spare set of B pistons
i want to swap in two or all 4 of the B pistons but understand they have a different piston-wall clearance

A 86.993-87.006
B 86.983-86.996

now i dont need this too last, just for one day hehe
wuld it work if i put the smaller B pistons into the A block and just run iwth the larger clearance? i dont have time to hone them out etc etc just want a quick fix that wil last me down the strip 6 times and i can go home happy.... what ya'l reckon?

 

well ive got the B pistons in the A block, so far so good and the clearances are within spec of the A pistons just

will go ahead and put the rest together and see how she runs

 

i dont think the rings will hold up well...but you should be fine for one race....

just make sure the oil is full...
