SWAP OVER.... CODE 8 (B16A) ..... NO VTEC??

Default SWAP OVER.... CODE 8 (B16A) ..... NO VTEC??

I JUSTFINISHED MY SWAP I WENT FROM A DX BASE CAR TO GETTING ALL THE WIRES FROM A 90 SI.. WELL THAT TOOK A LIL BIT OF WORK... AFTER THE DROP THE LS DISTRIBUTOR DIDNT WANT TO START IT... SO I STARTED PLAYIN WITH THE WIRES ADN SOMEHOW IT STARTED.... NOW.. I RAN THE 4 WIRES FOR THE VTEC AND MOST PR3'S ECU'S SHOULD HIT AT AROUDN 5500 WELL.. ITS NOT THERE... I DROVE MY FRIENDS 99 SI ADN I CAN HEAR IT AND FEEL IT.. BUT MY CRX JUST FEELS LIEK DRIVING A 1.6 LS THAT REVS HIGH.... ...... ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO REWIRE VTEC ON HOW TO FIND OUT IF THE SOLENOID IS BAD?? OH YA.. ABOUT THE 8 BLINKS?? WOULD THAT HAVE ANYTHGIN TO DO WITH THE VTEC NOT HITTIN??

refering to the 8 blinks, if that is coming from your ecu i believe it is TDC sensor. that comes from the CRX SiR manual, although that is the PW0 ecu and not the PR3, i believe its the same. Not sure if this would effect the vtec engaging but wouldnt doubt it. hope that helps.

double check all your wiring.99.9 % of the time that's what it is and if not its time for a new dizzy.

make sure the TDC wires going to the distributor have a good connection at the ecu... i messed the pins on the ecu plug up on these when i swapped too... so I changed the pins and it worked great.

well thanks for the help... on the tdc code/... i still didnt take care of it.. but now i have 2 long blonks and 3 small ones.... which im assuming is 23.... i looked it up on the manual.. and didnt fidn 23 on there???

cel #23 knock sensor look at the back of your engine and make sure its plugged in or broken.
