Wondering this about opening VTEC in SOHC
I was on the highway going home today and I decided to hit 5500rpms while in second to see if motor screams when it opens. I know that it wont scream like a DOHC but I didnt really notice a change. Do the rest of you guys hear something in your SOHCs?

There is a way you can hear a sohc vtec, a buddy of mine did it by using a vtec-e ecu or something like that on a d16z6. I forgot. It's been a long time.
d16z6 opened stock intake, 2.25" with Spoon N1. VTEC set at 4500rpms it's definitely noticible. I'm sure with a test pipe and a header it'd be even more noticible. There is definitely a powerband there too.
i only notice the change-over when im in third, and i really have to listen for it; turn off the radio and roll up the windows.
