Edel brock turbo kit for Integra's?
Has anyone seen the turbo kits that edelbrock makes for integras? They have an advertisement in TURBO magazine for 94-95 GSR integras. I dont know if its going to be smog legal but it says that its under the same name (SOMETHING-X) as thier smog legal kits for california. I searched on thier web site and didnt see the kit...anyone know anything about this kit....or if they plan on making one for the LS integra.....its got an intercooler AND a blow off valve....unlike the greddy kit...and its probrably going to be C.A.R.B. legal for california.....hopefully they did thier homework and hook up the LS guys.
I've also heard about this kit and decided to contact edelbrock. They responded that the kit was still under research and development and the kit could be out within the year, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah you may spend a couple hundred bucks more...BUT.....THEY GIVE YOU MORE....everyone always says that they are an arm and a leg. Comparing thier LS turbo kits to eachother...the greddy kit would require you to add parts to the greddy kit.....like the damn near $1,000 INTERCOOLER that they sell for the aplication.....and if you add a BLOW OFF VALVE, thats ANOTHER $230....so any way you look at that kit....you would have to add a THOUSAND BUCKS worth of GREDDY parts to meet the edelbrock kit.....so as long as the Edelbrock kit is around $4,200 they are DAMN CLOSE in price....but they arrent the same quality AND YOU CAN SMOG THE EDELBROCK KIT.....I dunno about you but I will spend the extra couple hundred bux so that I can drive away from a ticket for smog equipment......pays for itself in my opinion...for California people anyways..

plus have you seen how absolutly complete there other kits are

Garrett T28 ball bearing Turbo preassembled with exhaust manifold and elbow, including coolant and oil lines
They give you a new intake manifold with a secondary fuel fail and injectors.
State-of-the-art electronics to control boosted fuel and timing
all the oil lines
Spearco intercooler
Tial blow-off valve
Edelbrock boost gauge by Auto Meter with A-pillar mount pod
Ceramic coated Turbo piping air filter
All gaskets, adapters and instructions
O-ring sealed compressor inlet/outlet pipe flanges
The give you every thing its amazing. Have you ever bought a turbo kit. Think about the work you usually have to do an a complete kit.
how many "complete" kits come with a premade downpipe (nowelding). what kits give you something other then an fmu?
they even give you a boost gauge and an A-pillar
I understand if you want a higher boost kit or something this might not be something. But if you want a complete kit its awsome. and one of the closest "bolt on turbo kits"

although, if i want to raise the boost... i don't think that disco potato will cut it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Don't doubt the power of the disco potato. There is a h-t memeber on here making 380whp with his. I'm making 242whp w/ all stock internals.

There are a few other things that are nice about the Edelbrock kits, the down pipe is coated with their ti tech finish, it has an extra 02 bung welded in it for a wide band gauge or what ever and the piggy back is mady by MoTotron. Not to mention this kit retains your power stering , AC and fits very well.
