cheaper, i think the lx is plenty for a 16 year olds first car.

only thing i wouldnt of minded having was the rear disk brakes, but oh well, it was 2 grand more and i didnt need it.

good choice man. the only reason i'd upgrade from a dx to lx is for cruise control.

only LX's and EX's.

plus in the LX i got 1 1/2 inch more head room

WOW! I'm picking up the exact same car tomorrow! I'm getting the impression Honda has built more Atomic Blues than any other color so far.

man you guys are gettin' too impatient...

can't y'all wait for the SI? just go out get a part time job to save up money to make up the difference for the cost of the SI...

197HP i-VTEC 6SPD LSD Navigation....yada, yada, yada,

it would be much better than RSX TYpe S.

just think how much DC5 owners would hate y'all ...you have everything their DC5 has and more...

Money isn't always the only factor in car buying. My wife and I are veteran teachers and we gross enough money a year together that the extra 3-5k for the Si wasn't an issue.

In my case, I plan on autocrossing the car at the national level (with the SCCA) and feel the LX will be classed more favorably than the Si, especially if you read all the technical info on the new FG chassis and the R18 engine.

Yeah, I am so jealous that the new Si is getting an extra 150lbs more over the DC5-S!

It's easy to upgrade a diff...

I agree with Todd... Spending $1000 for a Quaife will dramatically transform any FWD car. In this case, it would make massive improvements to the RSX-S, especially the 2005+ models with the revised suspensions and gearing.

However, I just needed to simplify my life a little with regards to daily driving and autocrossing, and modifying my 93 Civic DX any further in SM (there was LOTS of work done to it) truly would have necessitated a truck and trailer (neither of which I wanted to do) as the car would have still been street legal, but unbearable to drive here in NJ, let alone 600+ miles away to a race.

So I sold it and bought the new Civic LX.

Yep…The type-s is lighter, faster and more stylish!

How can you say it would be much better then the type-s? Don’t think so... That would be a matter of personal opinion.
And insurance is quite high on the type-s, and im sure will be the same for the SI.

Why did you not put a payment down on the SI?

The 06 Si weighs only 37 (or 44) lbs more than the Type-S. That really isnt much weight.

From the angle of the above pics it really reminds me of the dc5.

I am just happy to be one of the few proud hatch owners!

Look at the weight on the 02-04 cars. But even the piggy 05-06 RSX is still lighter. 50lbs is 50 lbs.

But, a Civic heavier than an Integra? Think about that sentence for a second....

I'd rather have the less than 50 extra lbs and the LSD and six airbags that come with it in the civic...
