CEL P0715...Input/Turbine speed sensor???
Hey guys... I need some help if possible... I normally post in the CRX/EF Civic forum but I recently acquired a 91Lx and a 97Ex accord.
Anyhow, when my wife was driving the 97 home the other day the CEL came on and when I plugged in the OBDII scan tool I got
<U>"P0715 Input/Turbine speed sensor"</U>
Now the car started to rev between 4K&5K at random times and has alomost become undrivable...
My question is, does anyone know where this sensor is located??? I don't have access to a helms for this year accord and really don't have the money to buy one at the moment. Any help would be appreciated

its located on top of the transaxle, towards the firewall next to the rear engine mount/bracket. it has a 3-wire plug going to it...

Does your scantool let you check the freeze data? Honda has a service bulletin on that code with different repairs for different freeze data readings.

ok this is the only 3 wire sensor that is located where described....

And yes when referenced it comes up as the VSS..... ****! what sensor is it refering to?
Oh and I just used a generic Scan tool from Autozone.... nothing special and not capable of freeze data
