Changing to a 2.5 inch collector on the stock GSR header

Changing to a 2.5 inch collector on the stock GSR header
Is it a good idea? I think it is probably better than adding any Non JDM header since the tubbing for the stock 4-2-1 header is always 2 inches. Combining the two 2 inch tubes into one with at 2.5 inch diameter will most likelt give me more flow than an aftermarket header that uses 2.25 in collector. Has anyone tried this?

why not just get a JDM DC 4-1 with the 2.5" collector
