Its going to depend on the kind of fuel you have access to. Here in CA, we can only get 91 octane, other areas its easy to get a hold of 93 octane.

Tuning is going to be the key, to avoid detonation, which will be the death of the motor. Somewhere about 5-10 psi. The higher the octane and the better the fuel management you use, the higher you can boost.

Well man i live in southern oklahoma (deep in the heart of toothless country) And i have access to 93 and if i want to drive about 20 miles 100 octane at the pump. Jotech was my preferred tuning shop.
What A/R turbo and what not would be good?? Iam running a Vafc right now and it would be a month or so before i could change to hondata. Would i be ok??

No, I would not use a VAFC, that doesn't give any control over timing. I'd wait until you can get a Hondata (or similar tuning capability) to install the turbo.

A Garrett GT28RS turbo would be good for that.

Stay away from them!!! The turbos are known for litteraly splitting in half... very low quality from what I understand from 2 of my friends that took the chance just to save some bread.

What if i bought another turbo to go with the kit? Hell the piping and intercooler should be worth that.

Maybe but, not the wastegate. If you wanna do this right, going the cheap way will not help you whatsoever. Check out K-Teller or Stealthmode Performance. That engine of yours will need some low comp pistons if you want to boost high. 6-8psi should be safe on a good tune.

there manifolds are crap as well. I know one person who has the intercooler. he seems ok with it but there is many better, if you around you will find as cheap. but in the end you get what you pay for.
