weird rattle....
hi when i have it beween like 1500 and 3000 rpm's it rattles.. people told me it was a heat shield. If you have any opinions on what i can do to get it to stop plz let me know.
It could be a heat sheild, or it could be a rattling on the inside of the header/B-pipe. There is another layer of "tubing" that sometimes starts rattling.
It's a very common problem among Integras. The heat sheild, if that's the culprit, is the one above or below the catalytic converter. You can just remove that if you like.

thanks i was plannin on it.. but i heard it can heat up and melt thru stuff. i dono if this is true but a buddy of mine says it is?? but thanks for the info so far
The upper catalytic heat shield shields heat from the exhaust going toward the shifter area. If you remove the upper shield (most people leave the upper, and just remove the lower), you'll feel slightly more heat in the shifter area.
The lower shield just shields heat from the exhaust going toward the ground. There is a slight possibility that parking over dry leaves/grass might set it ablaze. Not likely, but possible.
