I currently have a stock b18c5 motor with DC 4-1 header and VAFC that only ever sees the track (I race in a regional road race series in Canada). I'm just starting to think about engine mods for next year, keeping in mind that I want to maintain reliability as much as possible while maximizing power gains in the 5,500+ rpm range. I prefer HP gains to torque - just don't want to reduce my current torque output.

My plans are:
- new cams
- cam gears
- port exhaust side
- upgrade header to Hytech (perhaps)
- bump compression to around 12:1

Can anyone suggest what cams I would most benefit from given the above criteria and planned mods?
