I mean really, buy the car, sell the motons, the wheels, the brakes, drop H22 in and kick ***... That reserve price is not bad at all!

"no money was speared." thank god! i hate it when money gets speared. innocent benjamins...

nate - thinks if you're going to sell a racecar for $12k+ you might want to proof read your ad once or twice.

This is intended as constructive criticism for the seller:
If I were in the market for a race car, that poorly designed, poorly written, and poorly proofread ebay ad would not inspire my confidence in the product or the seller...

Ad needs more detail, more pics (cage detail, for example), and more spellcheck.

All that ad is missing is the following statement:

I am currently in Nigeria, but I do business with many people in the states. One of them owes me $20,000. I will have him sign the check over to you, and then you send me the difference via Western Union, and I'll send you the title. Thanks.

That car in 2003 finished 9th in a SWC race at VIR.. Its a fast car, its a good car. Just because he can't speel and his pictures are crappy doesn't mean anything. I think this guy bought it from Tom in late 2004. I know Tom put a lot of money in it to make it competitive in WC..

Kevin and Corey from Hondaworks and Pete all tried to work on that car at CMP and it was seriously messed up tranny, bent valves, and some other misc stuff. It was seriously messed up. I'm not sure if I have ever seen it run correctly. That car is a turd burglar. Whoever built that car originally would cry now!

i've met tomas before at a rockingham event. he is from the czech republic, hence why his engrish is sloppy.

as for the car... i have no clue what kind of shape it is in.

H-T is so educational. I cannot believe I have lived 40+ years and never seen these two words together but what a great mental picture it creates. I'll strive to use it repeatedly each day until it becomes a natural and automatic part of my vocabulary.

If anyone out there still thinks he can build a car cheaper than he can buy one turn-key; let this car serve as exhibit "A".

Man, that car is packin' some serious goods...and at only $12,500. Amazing.

So, if that Civic's 100K has shrunk to $12,500...my car's reserve would be about $1,800

I've known Tom Stewart for a number of years and raced and instructed with him. He's easily dumped 150K into that car. The car is also seriously fast in the right hands. Tom ran the car at Hyperfest in 04 but I think the fastest lap time he did was in the 24's or so with the 1.8 motor. I saw Tom turn a 19's at Summit with his 2.2 motor (which put down 250 the wheels in a Mustang Dyno).

That car ran in SWC for most of 03 and part of 04. It was usually a backmarker but that was an indication of the money being spent up front. Tom also owns two PTG M3's that Said and Auberlin drove in GT.

It depends what tranny and engine is in the car now. Tom went through motors like most of us do brake pads.

Tom now drives with Hugh Plumb in a pair of TSX's in GA Cup.

In the right hands and with the right motor that car is blazing fast.

That guy's english is better than my Czech.

Scott, who thinks that we've all come to expect bad spelling and grammer so much that when we see it we automatically assume the creator is an idiot, when in fact it might be that person's 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th) language and he's a helluva lot smarter than you.

i think it ran more like 1:26 or so....he finished 3rd or 4th on saturday then didn't run it on sunday. The fastest lap of any H1 car that day was 1:25.891.... according the the honda-challenge website.

1:19's in a honda! DAMN!
