Possible to use INNER gsr valve springs with exhaust valve springs?
Like the topic says, I'm wondering if its okay or beneficial for that matter to use an extra set of INNER gsr intake valve springs with my stock gsr exhaust valve springs?
Ran a quick search but got 50/50 answers... anyone with experience that can give me a definite YES or NO answer?? thanks btw, this is for an all stock gsr head on a fully built RS Machine 2.0 gsr turbo block 9.1compression.

im sure you will be fine within the stock rev-limits.
or it might just be better to buy a complete set of portflow inner valve springs for that added insurance.

**not to hijack your thread, but to give more reasoning...
are the gsr exhaust valve springs(only outter ones) stronger than the intake valve springs(outter ones)?
i would understand your reasoning in swapping out the inner valve springs from the intake to the exhaust, but why not just swap out both intake valve springs(inner and outter) to the exhaust side?

well i have two sets of both intake and exhaust valve springs and was just wondering, whats the strongest settup. Using both sets of intake springs for the head as intake and exhaust or keep the stock settup and just add the extra set of inner intake springs to the exhaust side???

valve is bigger on the intake, hence the stiffness difference.

i think your mistaken. for example gsr intke springs are the p73 exhaust.
intake springs = stiffer

Both springs on the gsr intake are stiffer as a whole compared to 1 exhaust. Itr springs are different. I dont know about them i believe thats what you mean by springs. The gsr exhaust outer by my machinist definition is stiffer than the intake outer, but not the intake outer and inner. I actually used my intakes on my exhaust valves and bought another set of intake valves.
ok, what i've done is keep my intake inner and outters in tact and threw in my extra set of intake inners onto my exhaust outters. so as it is now, they're all dual valvesprings. is this settup sufficient for roughly 18psi or 380+hp of boost? correctly tuned w/ chrome on the dyno... just a safety issue due to the fact that i already blew my first boosted settup.
i appreciate all input folks
