OK... I have a week and a half and a half till I graduate school (FINALLY!). I have a job lined up so its time to get trucking on my new build! and im pulling all the stops on this one! I was looking at the SSR Formula Mesh for my rims. I found them on http://www.gruppe-s.com/SSR/SSRFormulaMesh.htm. Has anybody delt with this site? I'm not about to dump my money on a set of rims only to get fucked with or dicked over in the long run! It happened to me before with my first build on my EM1 and im not going to let it happen again! Also what pattern and offset do the Formula Mesh come in? any info on http://www.Gruppe-S.com any other reliable place I can order a NEW set of these rims would greatly be appreciated!

P.S. Still having a hard time deciding wheather to sell my Full-race Top Mount and 4" downpipe and Sleeved ERL GSR Superdeck and go sick nasty Allmotor JDM K20?? OPEN TO SUGGESTION ON WHICH DIRECTION TO TAKE!

thats a reputable site, you shouldnt have any problems with them. obviously this will be a custom order, usually taking 2 mos. When you place the order theyll ask you for the application, and what offset you want. I placed an order when ssr was still up about a year and a half ago. it cleared my fenders unrolled @ +38 offset, in 16x7, 4x100. lip was ehh...okay i guess. roll fenders so you can get a lower offset for better fitment. good luck

 

thanks for the quick reply...whats the farthest i can go offset wise and still be able to tuck them hard? i was thinking about doing a 15x7. Is a +20 possible? I believe i saw heyyyyymikey with a +20 offset on his old school enkei's. Also do they come in 4 lug or 5 lug?

 

offset also depends on the rim itself. EX: +20 for SSR comp may be different for +20 on a HRE. Depends on the rim design. With the SSR Mesh you could probably go like +30 or +33....maybe even more, just depends on your type of suspension...if you wanna roll fenders, etc.

Gruppe-S is a good site....used to deal mainly with Evo's/Suby's...but deal with alot more now. But i've never had problems with them before in the past dealings.

ALL MOST FORGOT!!! Do the formula mesh come in any different color center? hopefully gold?

now should i go shaved and tucked as much as possible all motor JDM k20 or gnarly turbo set up with completly built GSR engine/trans and deisel *** Full-Race top mount/4" downpipe/T4 turbo????

 

i believe the standard colors for the rims are black, silver, gold and maybe white. The easiest way to find out is contact gruppe-s.

 

not to be the bearer of bad news...but ssr's aren't going to happen anytime soon. ssr went out of business. they have been bought out by another company and will hopefully be back in production sometime in the future. no specific date has been announced.

very true. SSR Has been purchased already and is going under restructuring with another osaka company. hint hint they also have a branch in the states and it isn't another wheel manufacturer.

You won't be able to buy anything made to order under the SSR brand currently. I believe they are only doing subcontracting for under companies currently.

mike told me they had to roll and pull the fender so far back for the wheels to clear. Its possible, but youd have to sacrifice some handling issues/poor turning radius. yes they come in both 4 and 5 lug.

 

do these come in 4x100 or is it only 4x114.5?

PM him or search the for sales. I've seen people post up enkei 92's and other mesh rims for sale. Or hit up a junk yard, probably cheaper then what people here sell'em for. g'luck
