Default QS: LSD Y1 HELP!!!

Hey guys I have a 1990 integra and I have a jdm B16A1. REcently I found out that I have a LSD tranny. My speed sensor hasn't been working for the longest time and I already did all of the diagnosis and everything works, speedo cable, speed sensor, and the gear inside the tranny to spin the speed sensor. but my speedo tach doesn't move while I'm driving. I had a discussion with a mechanic at a local shop called REDLINE PERFORMANCE. and the guy said that I need a "LSD SPEED SENSOR", because the USDM ones won't work because that teeth on the speed sensor gear is different for the JDM LSD. Does anyone know where I can find a JDM LSD Speed Sensor????

all the speed senors are the same.

YS1 some had lsd (only the jdm models) the pos YS1 are mostly LS trannys. Rarely you will find a YS1 USDM if thats the case its from a 92-93 GSR.

only difference is the Electronic vs Cable.
You can use a Cable speed sensor on a Hydro tranny.

Your machincs don't have a clue what they are talking about. Tell them to slap themselves!!!!
Trust me I have done it so I know

you need to check inside the car where the cable goes in.. i had a problem with mine and i have seen a couple other peope who have also.. inside the dash behind the gauge cluster. the calble speed sensor will work on the y1 even though the y1 originally came with a electronic sensor.

Trust me I have done it so I know </TD></TR></TABLE>hell na the lsd speed sensor gear is different then the non lsd speed sensor gear the lsd gear is smaller with a finer gear pattern , the non lsd gear is wider with a more corser gear pattern i have both sensors and will post pics later on, alot of people cram the non lsd sensor into the lsd tranny and it works but ***** **** up later on.(not recomended)

I have used the SPEED SENSOR from YS1 GSR(NO LSD) Cable tranny speed sensor on my CTR (97 Civic type R) S4C LSD tranny for a several thousand miles no problems

so expletive that didn't do nothing to my tranny!!!!! I call it BS

then I swapped Civic 99si cluster in my ef went with the S4C speed sensor no problems...

thats why I said it lol
