I dont know if anyone heard about this show. It was filmed today at M.I.R. One of the cars we sponsored was running. It was a Civic with built motor and turbo. It was running against a supercharged, alchol injected and nitrous fed firebird. We lost the first race, Won the second, Lost the Third , Won the fourth and the one that mattered the fifth we lost and the other guy went home with the car. It was fun at the track accept for when they loaded up the car and drove away. Anyways when I find out when the show will be aired I will post on here and let everyone know. It's on the Speed Channel on Wednesdays. I think we are going to be the first episode. Unfortunately we lost but it was fun and it was close. The firebird was built by Paul Efantis but we still gave him a run for his money. Thanks to everyone that attended and cheered for the civic driver. We hope to do this again...

It wasn't my car. It was a car we sponsored. It wasn't timed it was just who got to the finish first.
I didn't tell you any of the other good parts so just tune in. It was a pretty awesome day...

Not really, I mean the car made timed runs in the past. I am just not sure what exact times it ran. It ran somewhere in the high tens. Like I said we just sponsored the car we didn't build it.

 

How you sponsor a car that you know nothing about( not to be smart. just curious)

i know our sponsors wanted to hear every little detail about our car whether it was running or not.

 

Basically, The guy that owns the civic is a friend of ours and we gave him a wastegate and blow off valve. He ran our sticker were happy. He did really well, the other car was just faster. No harm no foul. We had a good time at the track and the racing was really intense. Well worth the cost of those items.

No, I didn't take anything personally. He is a friend of ours and I know he was having trouble acquiring parts so we hooked him up. It was a really fun day. I recomend watching the show. It will not disappoint.

thanks for telling everyone the results of the fifth and final race?? wheres teh suspense?!

 

Good match up right? 9 sec muscle vs 10sec import, they told me it would be a mid ten second muscle. When they took it off the trailer 396ci fully buit procharger 25psi with 100shot and alcohol injected, and 28in slicks vs 1.8l lsvtec with just a turbo. After that matchup im sure we will never see an import on the show again.

Dont worry Sal, we will build an import for next year for the show. We got there just as you left. Im tellin ya, you guys woulda won if you didnt use Uberdata! hahahah j/k

 

damn , i could never put my car on that show even if i knew i was faster than teh competitor.....just too much risk for me. what made you decide to put your car on the show?

sucks u lost ur car, but was a risk worth taking figuring what you could had won.

you guys gotta remember, your not racing heads up per se. rather you are bartering/sandbagging/doing whatever you can to keep the other guy from knowing how fast your car truely is. All this acting for a head start spot, or for not giving to many car spots via sandbaging.

if i were on the show, id try to get a spot, as well as the jump. no one yet has asked for the jump. I think that is as good as 2 cars on its own.

I've got to be frank, that **** was biased towards the domestic camp. We came as the underdog and the ******* host was not being fair. Like Sal said, it was a blown LT1, on nitrous, 3 speed auto/transbrake, 28x10.5x15 tire "Full Race" Trans Am versus a turbo Civic street car with interior. It was a solid and very consistent low 10 second, high 9 second car. It was a ridiculus match up. The race set up was absurd. Even the host accidently called the driver a "ricer" but quickly corrected himself and said "racer".

i dont think the civic has ever saw a 10s pass on the track. i think the best the car ever was is a 11.6 and i was there for that one. everyone from whatching him street race says its a 10s car but has it every went 10s down the track ? if so where. should have let shane do the deal talking he would have got you 10 cars. sucks man
