Default It's alive

This just in. Today at approximately 7:30pm, the new GBRarcing ITA #24 Civic fired up and ran. Okay, so maybe I'm a little excited since the last time I heard this car run was back in December before it went to cage builder.

So, are you planning to run some ECRs so Christian and I can beat you in your old car?

Here's a few pics of the car from the annual CRX meet. The car is running but it wasn't completely done yet.

It's a header from RageImports.com. Since I have to run power stearing, both the Bisi and AN-R headers didn't fit. I just hope it was worth the extra cash? ...over a dc sports.

Looks great Richy. Nice detail work with the paint.

May 6-7, Daytona.
We'll see how angry the older brother is about being replaced .
But first... Pizzaria Uno.

Scott, who feels odd about going to Florida to get really good Chicago Style Pizza.

[smack talk]You better watch out! Your old CRX is gonna have some new go-fast parts on it before the Daytona ECR [/smack talk]

The new hatch looks really good! Can't wait to see it in person Let me know what races you're planning on attending next season and we can try and paddock near each other.

edit: notice though that I didn't say exactly what to watch out for... might just be a warning to watch out for a n00b with a comp license

I had some Cheerios.
I think I'll stick with cereal. You do whatever floats your boat.

I'm not sure that the notion of ramps up my azz has me wanting to hang out with you guys anymore.

Bah, you think the 4.875 is short? Some of the RX-7's run a 5.12!

The truly fun enduro next year is going to be a whole lot longer than ECRs!

Haha. Love it! I'll get a schedule together and let you know. Us Honda guys need to stick together (lol).

Am planning on running the car at this weekend's Turkey Trot. Hopefully, there will be no issues with getting it Tech'd and the teeth'n issues will be minimum.

If we have this many ITA cars running enduros, we DEFINATELY need to get together on schedules.

I absolutely HATE running against nobody. Between Karl/Bowie, Me/Christian, Adam/Walt? and maybe the Gonzalez brothers/Junktech plus the other cars that regularly run ECRs in ITA, I'm thinking we could have a helluva fun year.
I'm also gonna try to talk Paul Degionne into leaning away from SARRCs and more toward ECRs.

I have not yet talked Christian into running enough ECRs to have a shot at a championship, but I will. .
I gotta wait until he gets a couple of races under his belt and then point it out to him. Kind of like a crack dealer that lets you have the first hit free.
"You know, we've only done 2 races and we're 3rd in points..."

Works every time .

A miata is no underdog in an Enduro.

My current plan is to run the Rd. Atl. ECR in Feb, VIR in March, CMP in May, and MAYBE Rd. Atl. in July....jeebus it is hot then.

After that, the schedule gets kind of nebulous...

There are a bunch of Florida ECRs, but it would take some pretty serious arm-twisting to get my car down there, at least in '06.

Daytona in May.
Seriously. Its a National weekend with an ECR, and its huge.
Lots of competition, and a garage rental of $25 for the weekend.
Right now Christian and I are planning to be there, as is Richy. IIRC there were a bunch of ITA cars in this race last year.
AND its so big they split it up into two races. ITS, ITA and IT7 in one race (about 50 cars) and SM, ITB, ITC in the other (80 cars last year).

Scott, E-twisting Bowie's arm.

E-twist Karl's arm on that one. It is a long way away, and I don't own a tow vehicle. If Karl wants to run that one bad enough, we can make it happen, probably even without breaking the bank TOO badly.

I bet my car would suck *** at Daytona!
