Default Exhaust Question

Trying to get some ideas from Fellow Teg owners.

Going to get exhaust (catback) while I am saving for Boost.
Want something quiet when idle, but deep when WOT. I also want it to look good and not a coffee can that sounds like a Weedeater on steroids.
(NO N1)

Trying to find pros and cons on HKS and Greddy... (or any other suggestions)
Any info would be appreciated.

You can get a pretty good custom for $250.

i picked up dc sports SS catback for $499 and it fits your description. its really low/quiet at idle, and has a deep groan at WOT. none of the "can of bees" effect w/this one. of course the gain was not that big at all, but thas the case w/most cat-back systems.. one of the worst bang-for-the-buck mods, but its a nessesity if you wanna do anything else. just my .02

I really like most all of GReddy's products, which are usually top quality. However, I have broken two GReddy exhausts (an S.P. and a P.E.).

The S.P. I bought used, so I have no idea how it was treated before I got it. The trhough-pipe inside the muffler can rattled loose.

The P.E. (my most recent exhaust) I bought brand new. The rear weld on the resonator rusted somewhat and cracked.

GReddy wouldn't warrant either case. So, now I have a fully stainless Tanabe.

Check out the 70mm Kakimoto R picture I posted in my other post, it will work well even after you get the turbo because of the larger piping. And no, it is no where as loud as the N1 exhaust.

GReddy exhausts sound the best in my opinion. I have ran the P.E. on both my Type-R's.
