I've gotten mixed replys on this answer. Will an aftermarket EG Rear lower tie bar and the rear upper bar fit and work on the 88-91 chassis (91 Civic Si specifically)?

I have a Spoon EG rear upper bar that I want to put on my 91 and I've been thinking about putting the Benen EG Rear lower bar on my 91 as well.

Any thought would be appreciated! Thanks.

dont think so. I know R&D motorsports had to order ones specifically for a guy with an EF.

good luck, dont think there will be any easy swap here.
If there was, you would see all of the parts you Do have, as advertised for EG and EF. but they never are, so they must not be right? yah.

 

Well, advertised or not, I know for a fact that the Neuspeed rear lower bar works on an EF even though it is only advertised for EG+

So...who knows. Like I mentioned...some say yes, some say no.

 

so, if you have already done a EG to EF swap with the rear lower bar, you know the answer for the Benen rear lower bar.

If you have both an EG and an EF in your posession, and you have your Spoon rear upper bar, why dont you try it on the EF?

 

go check the spoon website and look at the part number!!!! i think the upper bar will fit?? because the mugen one does and that was made for the dc/eg body!! and the rear jdm itr bar fits too

 

I have not tried the EG to EF rear lower bar swap--that's why I was asking.

The spoon EG rear upper won't fit in the EF unless you hack up the interior trim panels.

 

interior trim? bah! who needs that stuff!
my EG is even more fun with a gutted interor!

 

Certain SoloII rules keep me from gutting my interior.

 

The same rear lower tie bar will fit on the following cars:
90-01 Integra (non-ITRs)
88-95 Civic
