i've never been to an auto-x event and am wondering where such events are held at around here (im in orlando). a buddy told me about ones at Lockheed Martin/Martin Marietta but he didnt know if they still do it. i just want to try it out to see if i wanna build my car for that. thanks all

There are lots of marque specific clubs around too, and I know someone is running in gainesville (maybe this weekend?). These should get you started.

check out http://www.eec.com/racing for all the info on Central FL autoX. fwiw, there is going to be a really good event this coming weekend in Gainesville. It is a 2 day event at their roadcourse... well worth the drive!

I'm going to be there for Sat definitely b/c it is a practice day and there will be ton's of seat time. Sun is going to be competition and I might not make it (going out Sat night with friends in Gville )
